Manufacturing in the UK and staying Competitive

China Importing for UK Business

Keeping Manufacturing in the UK?

Manufacturing in the UK doesn’t have to be out priced when compared against foreign production.

We strongly support manufacturing at home and believe there is a happy medium with Imports.

Importing ready-made product can come with quality issue for many companies, without the services of a dedicated office like ours in China looking after the management of these products.

Ways to avoid this are assembly or production of those goods here in the UK whilst purchasing the raw material direct from abroad.

Purchasing raw material from China, can once again, cut out the middle or wholesale costs for your plastics or metals, allowing your company to shout about Made in UK products.

As we all know we prefer nothing more than to buy a Made in the UK product and help to support UK manufacturing, but the price has to be right as budgets get tighter and more controlled.

Where the raw materials come from are a forgotten question mark when looking at quality and assembly of product.  What matters to most consumers is UK made, after the all important price.

China Manufacturing Supporting Britain

With tighter controls over production and assemble in your own production factory, failure and wastage rates can be significantly reduced whilst keeping ahead of your competitors when buying direct from China those raw materials.

We can source those materials for you under your guidance and expectations.  You tell us the minimum specification and we do the rest, keeping you up to date every step of the way.

Once we plot your order cycles and expectations, we can have the factories producing those raw products ready for your expected imports.

Buying Direct from China can actually help you get your budgets back under control and help you save that little extra to get back to your top game with your competitors.

Do you Import from China, if not why?

blog

Importing from China sounds out of reach for a lot of businesses in the UK, but actually with specialist companies like East Coast Imports, it can take you business to the next level.

With depleted factory production in the UK, it leaves business with no choice but to seek alternative products from around the globe.

Europe seems the obvious choice as it is a trusted union, but little is know about the Asian world of quality and efficiency.

China has a reputation in a lot of our minds, of cheap and poor quality, as generations have been brought up with cheap plastic giveaway toys and made in China printed on the back of poor manufactured goods.

It really is a case of pay peanuts get, well poor quality.  For just that little more, still keeping it cheap, you can get the quality required.

Actually, when an order is setup correctly, buying from China, can be a real coupe over your competitors.

The chances are, when you buy a product from a wholesaler or supplier in the UK, it has probably passed through 3 plus handlers before reaching you, each putting their 20-40% markup on, making a product over 50% more to you than when it was first imported.

Why not take that 50% and invest it directly into your business, or make the product even more competitive amongst your trading competition and dominant the market.

If you were to look around your competition, there probably are not that many buying direct.  So, could you actually supply them?

Our job is to help you get the product quality within the price you need.  There always is a balance between quality and cost, but if your realistic, or have a product already, then there is no reason why we can not get it cheaper at the minimum of the same quality.

Testing the water costs nothing with us, and we welcome your challenge.  All we ask is a sample of the product you wish to get priced and for you to cover the postage costs.

A small price to take you to the next stage…..
